"Recommend this hotel to clients with confidence", even if it's "a little tricky to find", nod visiting execs who approve of its "impressive atrium", "excellent fitness facilities", "professional staff" and location "convenient to everything in Stamford" (though non-expense-accounters should beware of the "extremely overpriced restaurant"); rooms are "large and beautifully decorated", but a few feel it's "time to upgrade" their "tiny" baths.

The pool and
gym facilities were great.
The pool did not open on time. There were no washcloths in the room, or lotion. Had to call for hair dryer.

For the price it was fine, lobby area was nice, gym and pool were really nice, but did not open on time or early enough for someone that had to be at work at 8 am. Room was nice enough, but I could have used some washcloths, lotion and had to call to the desk for the hair dryer which was not in the room for some reason. They did supply it however, but I did not notice until in the tub that there were no washcloths, so used one of the hand towels. Surprised me for a 3 star. Restaurant looked nice, but I didn't eat there. ...read more

I selected this hotel for proximity to my workplace.
Overall the hallways and room area are just a bit shabby.. not dirty, just shabby.

The shuttle to downtown was very convenient.
The hotel needs to be updated a bit.

I really enjoyed my stay. For the price it was well worth it. More of a three star hotel though.

Easy to find.
It felt like it would be closing the next day. "Ghost Ship".

Minimal coziness available. The TV did not work.

Price and location.
Room was very dirty, no one was working for the room service, phone and a lot of maintenance was needed in the room that was ignored.

I chose this hotel due to the price vs. star level, it seemed like a great value. I was very disappointed in this hotel. The size of my bed and quality of my linens was great. However, management needs to pay much greater attention to the condition of the room. Here are some examples: Stains on the comforter. Maybe 10 dark stains all over the room's carpet. Loose bits of paper all over the carpet which signaled to me that it had not been vacuumed before I arrived. The coffee table looked like it was broken into pieces and super glued back together. I think management should be embarrassed that my room looked like this. Other items of disappointment were: TV was about 20 years old, some channels don't come in visually or have a loud buzzing sound making it impossible to watch. I called for room service and waited about 3 minutes before hanging up. I called the front desk to connect me which they did. They then billed me for making a local call but took it off when I mentioned it to them as I was checking out. If I am traveling to Stamford again I will try another hotel. ...read more

Great place, clean rooms, quiet facility. Most of the staff was wonderfully nice, the night staff, however, were painfully unhelpful: couldn't give proper directions to the hotel and gave completely backwards instructions related to the paid parking facility. ...read more
